My cousin Jill told me about a recent Neo-Nazi demonstration that took place in Lansing, Michigan in April, 2006. Here is a video clip…it is about 24 minutes long. Judge for yourself…(Some of this may be very offensive to you...be warned)
The group that sponsored the demonstration is the National Socialist Movement of America. I had to look into this group! On their website, they have a registration form…on that form one must state the following, “AS A WHITE CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, I SUPPORT A STRONG FREE REPUBLIC WITHOUT ALIEN JEWISH CONTROL, BLACK CRIME, AND RACE MIXING. I RECOGNIZE THE NATIONAL SOCIALIST MOVEMENT TO THESE PROBLEMS AND I AM IN BASIC AGREEMENT WITH ITS AIMS.” A prospective member also must claim the following, “Must be of pure European or European decent. No blood lines to that of Jewish or non-white races.” This is their Logo…

I watched the video. It is truly sickening..........it actually made me want to vomit.
I guess it doesn't matter WHAT year it is. This kind of hatred seems to be passed down through the generations.
We need to be vigilant, as always, and teach our children to be loving, tolerant of all people, and strong. And we must NEVER forget.
Ultimately, good wins out. Thank God that these people who hate so vehemently are small in number. Most people are good and kind.

I'm going to skip watching it because I am sick to death of hate, bigotry, misery, violence and brutality. And I'm just plain old sick of ignorant people.

Stupidity knows no boundaries
Wow. Pretty amazing that we humans can be so profoundly blind to how much we have in common, as well as the lessons of history. Unlike your mom, I don't think that the number of people who hate are that small. I imagine they may be bigger than most know. But I am more afraid of indifferent people than by hateful people because I think they allow the hatemongers among us to march forward with their ambitions.
Very recently I found out that Senator Robert Byrd (West Virginia) is an ex-Klansmen.
Hatred and prejudice of various degrees runs in deep veins throughout our country and in every state.
It never fails to surprise me what people are capable of doing to each other.
I'm not even going to watch that video, Bradley.

This always scares the crap out of me and I'm not brave enough to watch to be honest. I'm converting to Judaism, have my class in 45 min. to be exact and it scares me that this hatred and sickness is fed daily by twisted, perverted individuals. We have a friend that sends us links to this a lot lately and it makes me ill.

*shudder* I am so frightened whenever I see such movements. I don't understand how and why people hate like this. It seems so contrary to human nature, but maybe I'm just used to a different type of humanity.
It also has been a serious eye-opener to me to figure out how our constitution can allow this sort of demonstration to take place... but -true- freedom of speech means that we have to allow that which is distasteful to us so that we can better learn and make our own choices. Women who voted were at one time distasteful. Allowing black people professional positions was at one time distasteful. And if we allowed those factions to speak their mind, then we have to allow these people - neo-nazis and ku klux klan members - their speech. Still, somehow, it FEELS fundamentally different.
These people are reprehensible !
