I have decided to start a new feature column here at the Egel Nest.
I will be fielding questions from my readers regarding children, stay at home parenting, marriage, relationships, and other topics that you may find important.
The idea is for you, my loyal readers to have an outlet to ask questions and get an unbiased male perspective on issues in your life. Maybe you have an issue with your husband that you can't or don't want to discuss directly with him. Maybe you just are looking for a different take on an issue. Anything goes! The questions can be submitted anonymously and will be posted that way if you so choose. Otherwise, I am happy to post your name along with your question.
Please submit questions in the following format:
Dear Brad the Stay At Home Dad,
*Your question here*
Signed,
Your name or anonymous
All you have to do to get started is think of a burning question you have always wanted to ask and email me at bradegel@comcast.net (Please submit questions by email only and not through the comments section of this blog)
If you choose to remain anonymous I will never breach that confidentiality agreement.
I will also let you know if your question has been selected and give you a heads up so you know to look for your answer and the discussion that follows.
Also, if my wonderful readers would be so kind as to create a post on your blog about this new feature so this forum can be opened up to as many readers as possible, that would be greatly appreciated.
So, submit away and let's see where this takes us Egel Nesters!
I hope everyone likes this idea and I look forward to your submissions!
The first "Dear Brad the Stay At Home Dad" column will appear next week.
One last request...My good friend Ms. Fussypants has one of her caption contests going on and I am a finalist...If you like my caption, would you vote for me?? The beautiful wife would be the recipient of a prize if I win! Here is the link...My caption to vote for is, "Explosion at toothpaste factory leaves two children white, shiny, & minty fresh." Thanks! Vote Here!
Have a great weekend everyone!

Cool idea! I have a question for Dear the Stay at Home Dad. Do all men lose their hearing when they get married or is it just mine? He always tells me "I never heard you ask me to do that".
oooh, I need some therapy, yay!!! hehe
Dear Brad,
I'm thinking of a question. Give me a few minutes.
Truly,
Mystified in Mira Mesa
Nice feature, Brad. I rather wish I’d had something like your expertise 25 years ago when I was a sort of stay at home dad: my ex-wife managed a store in the next town over and my study (office) was in the parsonage we live in next to the church I pastored. I’ll do my best to remember some of the less traumatic incidents from that period and pose a question or two based on them. OK?
Dear Brad the Stay Home Dad,
When women stay home we can't get our hubbies to do as much housework as we would like. Do you do it all or do you split it up with the beautiful wife?
Love, Mrs. Fussypants
Great idea! Where were you when my kids were young? :)
Again, the questions are steadily rolling in. Don't forget to email them to me and not put them here in the comments.
I look forward to responding to all the interesting questions!
Keep the emails coming!

GREAT idea! Let me think of some questions. And I can be an annon. Sweet!
What? What? No more Sammie stories? Are you mad, man? Okay, I promise to try to come up with something in the form of a question and am now running over for the vote...how could that not win?
