Tag...I'm it...7 interesting things you might not know about me...

I was tagged by Alexandria from I'm The Mom...I don't usually do these...but I figured this would be a fun one!

7 interesting things you might not know about me...

1.) I participated in gymnastics and wrestling in high school...cause apparently I could not get enough of the late 80's/early 90's spandex craze and had to wear it during sporting events too. I wonder how many times I said, "I am an 'all-around' good guy," at gymnastics practices and meets...wow...that joke must have gotten old quick to anyone unlucky enough to be in earshot of me saying it repeatedly...I have barely finished this sentence and it is already making me roll my eyes...at myself!

2.) In 1983, my sister Sue and I pioneered corn ethanol technology in rural Iowa. Unfortunately, our Board of Directors, which consisted of 3 stuffed animals and our dog Freckles, leaked our secret technological breakthrough to the Shell corporation. Pictured below are Sister Sue and I in front of our many crops before they were all taken away by those ruthless and greedy corporate jerks.

3.) One year at summer camp, I played guitar with Kenny Aranoff. Kenny was the drummer on the majority of John Mellancamp's albums and also played for three albums with the Indigo Girls.

4.) Late last year, in a ceremony full of pomp and circumstance, a tiara was placed on my head and the King of Cambodia, Norodom Sihamoni, bestowed upon me the honor of Queen of Cambodia for a day. If you must know, being Cambodian royalty is totally overrated. I asked for my own Tiger and Elephant and they said no...how rude! I wonder if I have to pay royalties for using this in my blog...about royalty...hmmm (Photo below)

5.) I was once acknowledged with a national award for outstanding Jewish communal service by my National Fraternity (Alpha Epsilon PI) executive board. It was called the Nehemiah Gittelson Medallion and accepting this accolade was one of the proudest moments of my life.

6.) My mom owns a women's specialty store...which is code for lingerie. She specializes in hard to fit women and also works frequently with women who have suffered through breast cancer and/or mastectomies. If you did not know this, you should totally visit her store. "FIRM FOUNDATIONS" Tell her Bradley sent you...and you might get the Egel Nest discount...I always get my bras and panties on sale!

7.) I like to make things up...I wonder which of the six things above are real...and which are a figment of my ridiculous imagination! Let's discuss this in the comments!

All done. :) weren't expecting it that fast now were you? :) LOL

Though I don't think my 7 things are nearly as interesting as yours. I mean - ethanol? And princess of cambodia? what a LIFE you've led. :)

1. And a VERY good gymnast you were!

2. Corn ethanol technology was only ONE of the many amazing projects that you and Sue concocted over the years! OY!

3.Yes, you played with with Kenny Aranoff, and also with Vic Voxx! You have rubbed shoulders with many stars!!

4. I didn't know you were the Queen of Cambodia, but I can't think of a nicer person to receive such an honor! Again, I say OY!

5. This award was one of the proudest moments of our whole family's life! There were MANY outstanding nominees for this honor, and were chosen because you stood heads above them all for you hard work, dedication and caring. The work you did to qualify for that award was FAR beyond the capabilites of most young people! I will always be so proud that they appreciated and acknowleded you for that.

6. Thanks for the plug!

7. Even your figments are wonderful!!!

Love you!

We were so innovative in our youth! I'm surprised you didn't share that you and I hosted a critically acclaimed nationally broadcast radio show called "Snakes of America." I know you could only pick 7 things, but the people should know of this fine contribution to society. :o)
